Barnsley College is offering two courses for people wishing to train for a wide range of early years, teaching and health science careers.
The Level 3 Access to Higher Education (HE) in Early Years and Teaching covers key elements of childcare and psychology. On completion, students can apply for training in childhood studies, education and learning support, teacher training, or for degrees such as social work, health and community studies, psychology or youth and community work.
The Level 3 Access to HE in Health Science Professions covers biology, health studies and psychology. Students can progress on to future training in nursing, midwifery, chiropody, laboratory technology or cardiology, or degrees such as social work, health and community studies, psychology or justice and criminology.
Programme Manager Lee Pryor said: “These courses are ideal for people who want to work with children, within teaching or in healthcare and the intensive nature of the courses will quickly prepare students for further study in the area of their choice.”
