Star of the big screen, actor George Newton, has been recording a music video with music and media students at University Campus Barnsley.
George, famously known for his portrayal of Banjo in This is England appears in the video as the frontman in a Ska band alongside final year music degree students performing The White Stripes ‘Seven Nation Army’.
Using the industry-standard television recording studios at University Campus Barnsley, media students staged a multi-camera set-up to film the band performing.
Impressed by the facilities and professionalism shown by the students, George said: “The way that students and staff have approached this project has been as professional as anything I have experienced in industry. The attitude, ability and commitment shown by everyone involved is a real credit to the students and staff here at University Campus Barnsley.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed filming here and look forward to seeing the final video once editing is complete.”
The video directed by professional freelance director Layla Randle-Conde is hoped to be used to help raise awareness of suicide in young men with all proceeds from downloads being donated to charity.
